“The No Plastic Bag Concert 2008″

“The No Plastic Bag Concert 2008″ which was held at Eastin Hotel (P.J) by Yayasan Nanyang Press is pretty welcome and successful. Parties from the Conservation Activist, Animal Adope & Rescue and some 30 of our local artists took part in this very event.

The evening’s appearance and performance featured such as Atilia, Sharizan Borhan, Ida Mariana, Deborah Henry, Xandra Ooi, Chelsia Ng, Harith Iskandar, Llew Marsh, Na’a Murad, Razif Hashim, Janet Lee, Mia Palencia, Peter Ong, Nell Ng and Yang Wei Han lite up the event and hope that they will encourage more volunteers for these activists.

Tickets price of RM50.00 for the event were delightfully contributed to the money raising fund to Malaysia Nature Society (MNS) and Independent Pet Rescuer (IPR). The funds raised will be given to these volunteers to help lift their financial burden. Ever know that these volunteers fork up their own pocket money just for the conservations and animal rescues? Yes they do.

The person behind this project Mr.TP Lim promised that the event would be carnival-like atmosphere. When there were booths offering eco-friendly products such as detergents, recycle bags, organic foods and handicrafts.

In conjunction of the event “Project Daily Million” were launched. A group of environmental activist in which they would like to cross a message for the Malaysians or even the world is “To Plant a seed of Recycling in everyone’s heart”. The idea is to reduce, reuse or recycle one more plastic bag than you already do now. Each volunteer were committed with their simple mission E-C-O:

Encourage the 3R’s (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle)
Care For All Living Things
Organise events to promote this lifestyle

“Adopt and Animal Recuers” is a group of animal adoption activists volunteers which they take these animals into their home, providing a safe environment for them to mature, become more socialized, or heal from an existing wound or illness. This can be an intense short-term commitment, but also a very rewarding one. Your helped have made a step forward in helping the activist to re-home these animals. If you are an animal lover please do drop by every Saturday from 1pm onwards at Hartamas Shopping Centre – 2nd Floor which in the same row of Starbucks Coffee.

Be together we save our world. Be in mind to recycle and to re-use. Use recycle bags insteed of Plastics bags. Care for the environment, Care for animals, Care for the world.
